ONLINE DISTANT LEARNING COURSES
We are now accepting new students with the course commencing in September 2017
This year long course will be split into 3 modules which can be completed in the student’s own time. Each module should take approximately 30 hours to complete and has been developed to provide structure and learning to students remotely.
The modules are as follows and will include:
Drawing
- Fundamentals of drawing - Learning to see
- Composition
- Sketchbooks
- Consolidating ideas and working drawings
Colour
- Colour in Art History
- Colour theory, the history and the science - Colour in practice
- Finding the colour in life
- Lifting from reality
Painting
- Paint as the medium
- Preparing surfaces
- Putting down the foundations
- Making a painting - where to begin
- Expression and voice, developing the idea
What will the course involve?
The course will be run online and you will complete tasks sent by the tutor in a specified time scale. You will then receive written feedback and constructive advice. Students can complete work under their own steam within this time frame.
Through a series of informative booklets and structured projects, students will learn to develop work under their own steam, but with the support of an experienced tutor.
Module 1 will begin in September and will be completed by December. There will be 3 contact dates with the Tutor over this time offering you the chance to submit work to be critiqued, or to ask questions/gain support.
The final submission date for module one will be 8th December 2016. Module 2 and 3 will then follow this format with module 2 running from January to March and Module 3 April to June.
£500 for full year course
